Rules & Disclaimer
SHAKE N BAKE SPEEDWAY RULES
1.) Don’t be a dick. Always check for competitors inside and outside when entering corners. Be aware of where your fellow competitors are.
2.) Don’t be a dick. Do not cut off competitors. If you have to drive like a dick to keep competitors behind you, you apparently suck and don’t deserve to be in front of them. You will always have an opportunity to pass them back, if you don’t suck.
3.) Don’t be a dick. Know your limitations. The karts accelerate and stop quickly. More than likely, the karts are more capable than the drivers reading this.
4.) Don’t be a dick. Rubbing is NOT racing when it comes to open wheel karts. Rubbing will get karts airborne and result in damage or injury. (Note: injury may come from track operator after the incident, if stupidity is the root cause)
5.) Don’t be a dick. (See rule number 2.)
6.) Don’t be a dick. Give fellow competitors room to race. Stay in your lane. If this means slowing down, then do it. See rules #2 and # 5.
7.) New participants memorize and recite upon request, the following:
I, (state your name) suck as a driver and yearn to be half as good as The Stig. I will adhere to all track rules and promise not to be a dick. Long live the DKSB. In Nomeni Patri Et Fili Spiritus Sancti.
DISCLAIMER
I hereby voluntarily assume full responsibility for any and all risk of personal injury or death or property damage suffered by me.
I also hereby voluntarily release the Shake n Bake Speedway, aka the speedway, and its owners from any and all liability resulting or arising from my visit to the speedway.
I understand and agree that I am releasing not only the speedway, but also its officers, employees, and independent contractors.
I understand and agree that this agreement will have the effect of releasing, discharging, waiving, and forever giving up my right to bring any and all lawsuits or other actions or demands against the speedway and its owners that I/they may have or have had, whether past, present or future, whether known or unknown, whether anticipated or unanticipated by me, arising from my visit to the speedway.
This agreement constitutes a complete release, discharge, and waiver of any and all lawsuits, actions, or demands against the speedway and its owners, its officers, employees, agents, or independent contractors.
I understand and agree that this agreement applies to personal injury, property damage, or death, which I or they may suffer, even if caused by acts or omissions of the speedway or others.
I understand and agree that this agreement will be binding on me, my spouse, children and any guardian ad litem for such children, my heirs, my assigns, and my personal representatives.
I understand and agree that by accepting this invitation, I am agreeing to release, indemnify, and hold the speedway, its owners, officers, employees, agents, or independent contractors harmless from any and all liability or costs, including attorney’s fees, associated with or arising from my visits to the speedway, or by reason of bringing an action at law, or otherwise asserting claims in violation of this agreement.
I understand that indemnify as used in this agreement, means that I must protect the speedway from legal consequences.
I agree to comply with all speedway rules and accept the terms of the disclaimer just by showing up.
